Updated Term: Mental Muscles

by Mike Sententia on April 21, 2011

After some feedback from folks in my classes, I’m replacing “magick muscles” with “mental muscles.” Same meaning, just a term change.

Also, a reminder that I’m now doing 2 posts per week. Monday is business and community, Thursday is technical how-to of magick.

Today’s real post is below.

What is the litmus test for knowing that our ‘mental muscles’ have been full engaged?

When I practice engaging my ‘mental muscles’ my focus is pulled towards the center of my brain, my mental state become less cluttered, and locked in. In this state I have practiced directing energy from one hand to the other, and mentally controlling the flow of energy with success. Am I close?

I like the idea of creating computer programs to command my magick. Is it as simple as engaging my ‘mental muscles’ and while in this state giving direct commands?

I played around with a magikal program that I would use for my business that would influence clients to do business with me under a specific list of criteria, but when I got to my criteria list such as, they will see the value in what I have to offer another question came to me. How do people mentally, emotionally, and chemically see value. So I went back to my own personal state of what is value, and modeled that into my program.

Am I on to something?

Hi Mike, great questions. It will take me a few days to reply properly. I’ll post something over the weekend, probably.

Short answer: You’re on the right track, but a couple of misunderstandings are holding you back. Long answer will explain those misunderstandings.

Edit: My reply to the first half of Mike’s questions is here: http://www.magickofthought.com/2012/01/reader-questions-awakening-your-mental-muscles/
